Matej Kovar praises two Manchester United teammates after Lyon victory
Matej Kovar has heaped praise on Dan Gore and Donny van de Beek for their performances against Lyon.
Manchester United won their second match of pre-season 1-0 against the French side, with the Dutchman's goal proving decisive. Van de Beek made just two league starts for United last season after he sustained a serious knee injury during a 3-0 win against Bournemouth in January, which ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign.
Academy graduate Gore played a key role in setting up Van de Beek's volley, getting to the byline and delivering a great cross. Both players earned praise from Kovar, who played the full 90 minutes in goal with Andre Onana at Carrington for his medical ahead of a move from Inter Milan.

"Dan has been brilliant the last few games," Kovar told MUTV. "He has been training really well.
"I think the manager can see that as well. It's brilliant for the young lads that are coming through the academy and stepping into the first-team and putting in strong performances like that.
"It was a really nice goal from us," he added on Van de Beek. "We built from the back to the top and I think everyone will be pleased with that goal so we just need to carry on and keep playing."
