Erik ten Hag's perfect Manchester United squad after ideal transfer window clearout

After completing their most important signings, Manchester United have now turned their attention to players going the other way out of Old Trafford.

Unlike last summer when United started the campaign woefully underprepared, Erik ten Hag has got his top summer targets in through the door before the forthcoming season gets underway against Wolves on Monday. Mason Mount has added more technical quality and dynamism in midfield, Andre Onana is the new No.1 and Rasmus Hojlund is the long-awaited striker.

With crucial new additions secured, United are now focussing on refining the squad by selling players not in the manager's immediate plans. Ten Hag has wanted the club to be more ruthless with its underperforming players. Forest are keen on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy but United would want the fee by January so they are able to comply with the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules.
