"Massive": Sky Sports reporter now sends important warning to Conte and Tottenham

Tottenham’s match against Burnley on Wednesday night is “massive”, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Spurs beat Manchester City on Saturday, and they will be looking for back-to-back wins when they travel to Turf Moor.

Spurs’ 3-2 victory over City put them firmly back on track to compete for a top four finish, but there is still a long way to go for Conte’s men.

As things stand, Tottenham are currently down in eighth place, seven points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester United.

However, they do have three games in hand on the Red Devils, while they also have more matches to play than West Ham and Wolves, who are both above them in the table.

They have played the same number of games as Arsenal, though, and find themselves three points behind their north London rivals.

Bridge feels Tottenham’s win against City was a big step forward for the side, but he has warned that they could undo all their hard work from that match if they are beaten by Burnley.

Looking ahead to the clash with Sean Dyche’s team, Bridge told GIVEMESPORT: “Wednesday’s massive, they’ve got to build on that. I’m not saying there was no point of winning Saturday, but if you go to Turf Moor now and lose, it’s going to take all the goodness away from what was such a memorable result.”

They have a golden opportunity to do just that over the coming weeks, starting with their match against Burnley.

After their trip to Lancashire, their next two league fixtures will be against Leeds and Everton, two sides who are struggling in the bottom half of the table. Therefore, Spurs ought to fancy their chances of stringing some positive results together.
