Comparing Emile Smith Rowe’s 21-22 stats to England’s other forwards
Emile Smith Rowe has been a revelation in the Arsenal team since his full introduction to the senior side in December 2020 and has been constantly improving this season.
His goal against Brentford in February 2022 took his league tally to nine, eclipsing the total of many of his England international colleagues.
Forming a fantastic partnership with his fellow Hale End graduate Bukayo Saka, it is surely only a matter of time before the 20-year-old regularly features in the England squad to add to his two caps so far.
With England possessing so many great talents in attacking midfield, there will be some big omissions for the upcoming World Cup – but some may argue that Smith Rowe deserves a place on the plane over some of the more experienced underperforming stars.
We’ve taken a look at his Premier League stats this season and compared them to the corresponding numbers of his England colleagues competing for a spot in his position.
