Martin O'Neill in Rangers quip after England 'invite' as Celtic legend responds to red carpet Auld Enemy treatment

Celtic legend Martin O'Neil has joked he would not be made as welcome as the England team have by Rangers with the Auld Enemy using Auchenhowie before facing Scotland.

The Light Blues have thrown open their doors to Gareth Southgate's side after they jetted into Glasgow for the friendly showdown following the 1-1 draw with Ukraine in Poland. Harry Kane and co were put through their paces by Southgate at Rangers facility as they prepare to face Steve Clarke's men in front of the Tartan Army at Hampden - who are inching closer to a spot at Germany next year off the back of five qualifying wins from five.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Jim White was discussing the England side and any injury problems going into the game. The report cut back from Auchenhowie to the studio were former Celtic boss O'Neill was put on the spot. White quizzed: "You know where that is don't you? Once Murray Park..."

O'Neill responded: "I know where it is, I was never invited there like this. I'm not sure I'd be welcome."
