Marcus Younis IS an Aberdeen FC transfer target as Jimmy Thelin considers six figure splurge on winger

Aberdeen want to land Western Sydney Wanderers highly-rated star Marcus Younis.

The Dons are after the Australian under-20 international winger and are in talks with the A-League side. The 19-year-old has caught the eye of Aberdeen’s scouting staff and manager Jimmy Thelin. Aberdeen see Younis as a top talent and are prepared to pay a significant six figure fee to land him now. The problem for Aberdeen is that Western Sydney are reluctant to sell their promising youngster.

They would prefer to keep a hold of him and know there is growing interest with Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven amongst a number of clubs who are interested. That won’t stop Aberdeen from seeing if a deal can be done. Younis made his A League debut last season and has gone on to make 11 appearances, scored one goal and claiming two assists. Thelin has already signed Finnish winger Topi Keskinen from HJK this month, although wide players are a key players in his squad.

Aberdeen also remain in talks with Millwall over a loan deal for Kevin Nisbet. Aberdeen are also trying to bring in another central defender before the close of the window.
