Marcus Rashford's Man United exit edges one step closer as forward flies out to complete medical
AC Milan are reportedly making plans to offload a forward to accommodate Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. The Red Devils are keen to find a new club for Rashford in the January transfer window, following his exclusion by Ruben Amorim.
Rashford has expressed readiness for a fresh challenge and has been exploring potential exit routes this month. Milan appears to be the most probable destination after the 27 year old dismissed the idea of relocating to Saudi Arabia or Turkey at this point in his career.
However, financial constraints pose a challenge, given Rashford's £325,000 weekly wage at United until June 2028. The Italian giants are interested in an initial loan deal unitl the end of the season but are reluctant to cover even half of his wages, with their highest earner, Alvaro Morata, earning only £150,000.
Despite this, Milan are not backing down from negotiations with United and are proceeding with other January window activities that could facilitate his arrival. According to reports coming out of Italy, Milan forward Noah Okafor is set to fly to Germany on Friday to complete his medical and sign for RB Leipzig on an initial loan deal that could become permanent for around €25million (£21m) in the summer.
The Swiss forward, who joined Milan from RB Salzburg for €15.5m (£13m) in the summer of 2023, is considered dispensable, reports the Mirror. And his departure could free up a place in Milan's squad - which could then be filled by Rashford.
Rashford's brother and agent, Dane, has been in Italy this week discussing a move with Milan, while Juventus and Dortmund have also been credited with an interest in signing the England international as well.
United are more than willing to approve his exit after
