Marcus Rashford and the £75m Man United exit for PSG in doubt after Erik ten Hag vow

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag doesn't think the club will sell Marcus Rashford even though PSG might offer £75million for him.

The 26-year-old striker has endured a tough season at Old Trafford, scoring just seven times in 34 matches in all season. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who recently became Man United's minority shareholder, wants to make big changes to the team next summer. Back in January, Rashford went out in Belfast when he shouldn't have, and then he missed training and as a result was dropped from the squad by ten Hag for an FA Cup clash against Newport County.

But despite the forward's disappointing campaign, the Mirror reports that the Red Devils have now intention of letting Rashford go in the summer. "We did not re-sign him last season for four [more] years with the intention to sell him now," said ten Hag before the big FA Cup game against Liverpool on Sunday. "He should be part of this project."

Mirror Football reported that PSG tried hard to get Rashford in 2023 and were willing to offer him £400,000 a week before he decided to pen a new deal with Man United last summer. PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi said they talked to Rashford before when he might have left for free at the end of the current season.

He told Sky Sports: "He's another player that is really amazing. And for free? To have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely. We're not hiding it, we spoke before and... interest. But the moment was not a good moment for both sides."
