Manuel Ugarte loan deal update as Manchester United set for 'talks' over transfer

Manchester United are continuing to be linked with several potential new signings as the summer transfer window rolls on.

United have already signed Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee this summer to strengthen Erik ten Hag's squad. However, since the arrival of Yoro from Lille, the Reds are yet to make any further new additions.

The summer transfer window will close on September 2, but there are already eyes on what United's squad will look like when the Premier League season begins. Ten Hag and Co. will begin their campaign with a clash against Fulham at Old Trafford on August 16, less than a week after facing Manchester City in the Community Shield.

United reportedly remain in talks to sign Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain. The Reds have been credited with an interest in signing the Uruguay international for several weeks and he remains a target to strengthen the midfield options at Old Trafford.

According to Fabrizio Romano, United remain in contact with PSG over a deal as the wait goes on for the deal to be completed, with personal terms already agreed. It has been claimed that United have discussed the idea of Ugarte joining on a loan deal for the season with the obligation to buy in 2025.
