Manuel Ugarte shows true colours with Man Utd transfer message as player bids emotional farewell

Manchester United target Manuel Ugarte has sent a message to departing winger Facundo Pellistri after his move to Panathinaikos was confirmed on Wednesday.

Ugarte and Pellistri are teammates in the Uruguay national team and the PSG midfielder chose to send the 22-year-old a message as he bid farewell to Old Trafford. Posting on Instagram, the forward wrote: "Dear Reds, my time has come to say goodbye.

"It's been an incredible journey full of unforgettable moments and experiences I will cherish forever. Your unwavering support, both on and off the pitch, is something I will remember forever.

"I've grown as a player and a person and that is because of you. As you say, once a Red, always a Red. Manchester will always hold a special place in my heart.

"Wishing the club and all of you nothing but the best for the future. With gratitude, Facu Pellistri."

Sending his support for his international teammate, Ugarte entered the comments section, posting a love heart in response to Pellistri's post. While one journey at Old Trafford is ending, Ugarte's could soon be about to begin.

The PSG midfielder is believed to be keen on a move to United with MEN Sport understanding the Reds would like to either purchase Ugarte permanently or bring him in on loan. Erik ten Hag's men would prefer to make the deal a permanent one but there is an acceptance that the Reds are not going to be able to reach PSG's valuation of £51.5m this transfer window.

Sky has slashed the price of its Sky Sports, Sky Stream, Sky TV and Netflix bundle in an unbeatable new deal that saves £216 and includes 1,400 live matches across the Premier
