Manchester United youngster Isak Hansen-Aaroen reveals future transfer plans

Academy hopeful Isak Hansen-Aaroen has admitted it is “possible” that he could leave Manchester United on loan in January.

The 19-year-old - who played 180 minutes for Erik ten Hag in pre-season - said he received some interest regarding a switch over the summer and is confident a temporary exit could be organised in the new year, if United wish to tread that path.

The Norwegian showed his skillset in July’s friendly with Leeds, setting up a goal for Noam Emeran, who has since left for FC Groningen in the Netherlands.

The midfielder - who netted for Norway Under-21s in their 7-0 thrashing of San Marino last week - also featured for United in pre-season last year, albeit is yet to make a competitive matchday squad.

Hansen-Aaroen has scored twice in four Premier League 2 games this term, both of which came in the 10-1 demolition of Stoke City earlier this month.

The playmaker has revealed that there were talks of a loan spell away ahead of the new term, which would have presented him with an opportunity for minutes in the senior game. However, these discussions ultimately broke down.

“There was talk of something different, but I don't want to say too much about it,” Hansen-Aaroen told VG. “There was some stuff, but we didn't quite agree.”

When asked about the details of these talks, the player said: “You will find out in a few months,” before admitting that a January loan was “possible”.

“There is a lot of interest. If we wanted it to be a loan, I know we could go,” he insisted when asked if such interest came from the Championship or abroad.
