Apple store down as preparation for rumoured iPhone 15 launch begins

Apple has blocked users from entering its online store as it prepares for the possible launch of the iPhone 15 and other devices.

The tech giant has placed a holding image across the front of the UK store as it prepares for an event called Wanderlust, which is set to showcase a host of new Apple products. The event is set to go live from 6pm UK time tonight and will stream across the internet from Apple's base in California.

The expected main event will be the reveal of the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro devices, the latest in the popular iPhone range.

The iPhone 15 is just hours away from being launched by Apple, as it's set to launch four new smartphones. With the newer range comes a welcome price drop on the soon-to-be predecessor iPhone 14 range, despite only launching this time last year.

As the discounts start to appear, Tesco Mobile is currently offering the biggest £252 price drop on the standard iPhone 14 model. It's only available on the iPhone 14 with 100GB of data, as it's reduced from £45.99 a month to £38.99, a huge £252 saving across the full 36-month plan.

Rumours have been circulating about the launch of the new iPhone a year after the launch of the iPhone 14 at a similar event last year. In 2022 the Apple store was also temporarily closed in order to get ready for the new phone launch, fuelling rumours of the new iPhone 15 device.

Other hints the device is on the way can be found across the internet. The Sky Mobile store has cut the price of the iPhone 14 in time for the launch of the new 15 model. The iPhone 14 Pro is now priced at just £32, a saving of £76
