Manchester United transfer news RECAP Man Utd vs Vallecano reaction plus De Jong and Ronaldo news

Manchester United suffered their first defeat of pre-season yesterday, against Atletico Madrid, but that will soon be forgotten about come 4pm today.

The big news was due to be Erik ten Hag's Old Trafford debut but Cristiano Ronaldo's return is the topic on everyone's lips. The striker still wishes to leave the club but will feature for United for the first time since May 7 this afternoon.

Ten Hag has already disclosed that his line-up will look completely different to the XI that started against Atletico in Saturday's 1-0 defeat.

And it may well feature Ronaldo. It will be the first time he dons a red shirt this summer after missing the club's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia due to family reasons. It remains to be seen whether the Portuguese star will leave the club this summer.

However, it appears there is work for United to do if they're to sign Antony this summer
