Manchester United transfer news LIVE Brentford reaction and Frenkie de Jong updates

Erik ten Hag knew life at Manchester United would be tough but he would not have expected to have broken a 101-year record for all the wrong reasons.

He's become the first Reds manager to lose his first two games since 1921, and as a result, his club sit bottom of the Premier League with Liverpool next up. Yesterday's mauling at the hands of Brentford was a new low for United.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo's future remains unclear, as the chase for Frenkie de Jong continues to drag on.

Today's big talking point: Who should shoulder the blame for United's poor start? Have your say here.
