Manchester United transfer news LIVE striker leaves on loan and Casemiro injury boost

Manchester United could welcome back six players from injury against Tottenham tomorrow, including midfielder Casemiro.

The Brazilian has not played since picked up a hamstring injury on November 1 while Lisandro Martinez could also make the matchday squad for the first time since September following surgery on his foot. Luke Shaw, Amad, Christian Eriksen and Antony are also set to return against Spurs.

Meanwhile, striker Joe Hugill has left the club on loan days after signing a new long-term deal. The attacker, yet to make his senior United debut, joins Burton Albion for the rest of the season.

Fellow academy graduate Hannibal Mejbri could soon be the fourth player to exit on loan following Donny van de Beek's switch to Frankfurt and Jadon Sancho's return to Borussia Dortmund. Sevilla are leading the race for the Tunisia star, who asked not to be called up for the Africa Cup of Nations this month.

Joe Hugill has completed his short spell to Burton Albion, staying at the Pirelli Stadium until the end of the season.

The striker will be available for Monday's League One clash with Derby County, when he could make his debut. The Brewers say they fought off a lot of EFL competition for the 20-year-old.

Upon arriving, Hugill said:

"It's a great opportunity for me. As my first football league loan I'm really excited for it and looking forward to getting going.

"I can't wait to experience men's first-team action and getting as much experience and games under my belt and hopefully score some goals. I'm really looking forward to meeting the lads and getting going."

Delighted to join @burtonalbionfc on loan for the rest of the season.
