Manchester United are now just a day away from welcoming Manchester City to Old Trafford for the 191st derby day.

Both sides will be putting the final touches on their preparations ahead of the campaign's biggest game so far, and Erik ten Hag will hope to replicate last season's thrilling 2-1 comeback win. City won the other two meetings that year, including in June's FA Cup final.

Ten Hag confirmed in his Friday press conference that Casemiro could make a welcome return to the squad as he faces a race against time to be fit. The Brazilian has been in training since Monday after suffering an injury on international duty.

Alejandro Garnacho will also be available as United await a decision from the FA on whether he will be charged over his social media post about Andre Onana.

In transfer news, Scott McTominay remains a hot topic despite his recent inclusion in United's first-team picture. The midfielder was up for sale all summer and Newcastle remain interested, having lost Sandro Tonali to a 10-month ban.

Scott McTominay is among a four-man shortlist to have been drawn up by Newcastle as they look to replace Sandro Tonali in January, according to The Mirror.

Tonali has been handed a 10-month ban by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) for breaching their betting rules. The Italian midfielder admitted to placing bets on football, including AC Milan games in which he played.

Newcastle were one of several sides to express an interest in McTominay over the summer and the United midfielder was up for sale. And now Eddie Howe's side have 'continued to track' the Scotland international ahead of an approach in January.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has
