Manchester United transfer news LIVE Man Utd vs Sheffield United highlights plus Casemiro latest

Manchester United marked the passing of club legend Sir Bobby Charlton with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane last night.

Goals either side of half-time from Scott McTominay and Diogo Dalot secured a vitally important three points for Erik ten Hag's side, who paid tribute to Charlton ahead of kick-off. As for the game itself, United were forced to work hard for a second successive Premier League win, scoring either side of a well-taken penalty by Oli McBurnie. The Reds have climbed up to eighth in the standings and are now just five points shy of the top four.

They will now switch their focus to Tuesday night's must-win Champions League Group A fixture against FC Copenhagen at Old Trafford, meaning there is next to no time for Ten Hag and his players to catch their breath.
