Manchester United transfer news LIVE Man Utd step up left-back hunt as Pierre-Emile Højbjerg 'considered'

Manchester United have four days left to do business and look set for a busy end to the transfer window.

Erik ten Hag has spent £163million on three major arrivals so far this summer but expects at least one more signing to be done before Friday's 11pm deadline. However, circumstances beyond his control mean more are likely.

Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir will almost certainly arrive in the coming days, following the agreement of a £4.29m fee with the Turkish side. His arrival depends on the exit of Dean Henderson, with the 26-year-old said to have completed his medical ahead of a £20m move to Crystal Palace.

Following on from that, a new left-back has shot up to the top of United's summer shopping list after news that Luke Shaw could be out for two months with a muscular issue. Marc Cucurella, Sergio Reguilon and Marcos Alonso are all of interest.

Any spare time and money could well be funnelled into midfield, with Ten Hag considering a late move for one of Sofyan Amrabat or Ryan Gravenberch. United have also been offered Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, who is out of favour at Tottenham.

The transfer window is in full swing and United have got their hands on three players well in advance of the September 1 deadline, with Rasmus Hojlund joining Mason Mount and Andre Onana at Old Trafford.

A goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker were Erik ten Hag's priorities heading into the summer window, but that doesn't mean their business ends here, with further incomings and outgoings still on the cards..
