Manchester United transfer news LIVE Erik ten Hag updates and N'Golo Kante latest

Manchester United and Erik ten Hag are continuing to put plans in place ahead of the summer transfer window.

Following the Dutchman's unveiling as United manager at an Old Trafford press conference last Monday, speculation about what this summer could hold for United has continued to mount. The club is expected to be active in the transfer market in pursuit of new talent, whilst several faces are expected to depart.

Frenkie de Jong is understood to be among United's targets as far as their search for new options in midfield are concerned, while Ten Hag is understood to have been consulted on the prospect of Pau Torres being signed from Villarreal. The centre-back is among the club's targets as they aim to strengthen their defensive options over the summer.

Away from the plans for the summer, United youngster James Garner will be looking to try and help Nottingham Forest earn promotion to the Premier League at Wembley this afternoon. They face Huddersfield Town in the Championship play-off final and Garner will be hoping to help them end their 23-year exile from the top flight.
