Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has emerged as the current top target and the Dutchman responded to the reports linking him with a move to Old Trafford on Saturday night.

De Jong was asked about United's interest after he played for the Netherlands and he kept his cards close to his chest. The reporter asked De Jong: "Are you going from the beaches of Catalonia to the cold of Manchester?"

To which he replied: "No... I think... I can't say anything," while laughing.

Phil Jones overlooked Cristiano Ronaldo when naming his dream five-a-side team for Manchester United.

Having spent almost two years on the sidelines with a troublesome knee injury, Jones made his first appearance in 707 days for the Old Trafford giants last season when he started against Wolves in January. He made a further seven appearances under former interim manager Ralf Rangnick in all competitions.
