Manchester United are interested in signing Christian Eriksen on a free transfer this summer. Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest at last summer's European Championship and he departed Inter Milan following that incident.
The player made his comeback to football in January earlier this year when joining Brentford on a six-month loan deal. After contributing one goal and four assists in 11 appearances for Brentford, Eriksen is now available on a free transfer and Thomas Frank's side would like to permanently sign the midfielder, but they're facing competition from United for his signature.
The Manchester Evening News understands Erik ten Hag wants to bring Frenkie de Jong and Eriksen to reshape United's midfield this summer, although it's thought the latter could be persuaded to sign for Brentford, as his family
