Manchester United transfer news LIVE Deadline day updates as Reds chase Amrabat and Reguilon deals

Manchester United have until 11pm tonight to complete their remaining transfer business as the summer transfer window deadline approaches.

United had at one stage looked in a good position following their business earlier in the window, but haven't been able to get the new midfielder in that they'd wanted and have had to scramble for reinforcements following injuries to Luke Shaw joined Tyrell Malacia on the sidelines.

Sofyan Amrabat had been a long-term midfield target but the Reds dallied before this week coming back in for him. They are hoping to strike a loan deal for the Moroccan international before tonight's deadline. The injury situation at left-back has led to United enquiring initially about Chelsea's Marc Cucurella before switching focus yesterday to Tottenham's Sergio Reguilon. Amrabat and Reguilon look set to be the main focus of attention for United's recruitment chiefs today.

After Dean Henderson's departure was rubber-stamped last night, it's expected that the arrival of goalkeeper Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce will be confirmed today.

After outgoings on Thursday in the form of Henderson and Teden Mengi, United are aiming to offset their expenditure with more departures, with Eric Bailly and Donny van de Beek free to leave. It's unclear whether any potential move for those two would happen today, given interest for Bailly has come from the Saudi Pro League, whose transfer window doesn't close until later in the month.

The transfer window will soon close and although United got their hands on three players well in advance of the September 1 deadline, with Rasmus Hojlund joining Mason Mount and Andre Onana at Old Trafford, activity has stalled since Hojlund's announcement.
