Hojlund, Reguilon - Manchester United squad numbers confirmed in full after transfer deadline day

Manchester United have finally confirmed their full squad numbers for the 2023/24 season, with the summer's new arrivals being handed their jerseys.

United confirmed a provisional squad number list before the season began to confirm new arrivals Mason Mount and Andre Onana would be taking numbers 7 and 24, respectively, but have only now given the rest of their new signings numbers.

Rasmus Hojlund was confirmed as a United player a week ahead of the new season but as he arrived in Manchester injured he wasn't immediately given his squad number. It was presumed the Dane would be given the No.17 he wore at Atalanta following the departure of Fred but that has instead been snapped up by Alejandro Garnacho.

Instead, Hojlund has opted for No.11 - famously worn by Ryan Giggs and last worn by Mason Greenwood, who has moved to Getafe on loan.

United saw a flurry of signings arrive on transfer deadline day as Erik ten Hag looked to plug holes in his squad with some last-gasp additions. Jonny Evans has signed on for the season after already linking up with the club during pre-season and he switches to 35 from the No.27 he wore in friendlies.

The biggest arrival of the day was combative midfielder Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina. United gave Ten Hag the additional defensive midfielder he wanted with the initial loan signing of the Moroccan. United have paid a £10m loan fee and have the option to purchase him next summer for £20m - his number is the only one not yet confirmed.
