Manchester United transfer news LIVE Hannibal stance plus Maguire and McTominay exit latest

The start of the new season is just five nights away for Manchester United when they start the campaign against Wolves on Monday.

United will be focussing on outgoings before the match and for the rest of the window after completing their major business with the signings of Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund.

Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire are two players who could leave before September 1 but West Ham have been unsuccessful in their bids for the pair so far.

McTominay is unlikely to leave after Kobbie Mainoo suffered an injury in pre-season and Maguire's future will depend on his own decision as United are not actively pushing him out of the door.

One player who won't be leaving permanently is Hannibal Mejbri as United have opted against selling him but the combative midfielder will likely leave on loan.

Manchester United have built a new players' lounge at Old Trafford after Erik ten Hag's request for a dedicated space for the squad.

Ten Hag asked for a room in the south stand, known as the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand since April 2016, adjacent to the home dressing room where players can rendezvous, relax, dine and prepare for matches. The lounge was completed in time for the home friendly win over Lens on Saturday.
