Manchester United takeover latest as sale 'matter of weeks away'
Manchester United supporters have become fatigued by the constant waiting for progress on the takeover.
Since the strategic review into the ownership of the club was announced in November, updates on the sale process have been scarce. Avram Glazer dodged a question during the US pre-season tour from reporters wishing to source information on the takeover.
As the owners continue to mull over the offers, United remain in limbo and all, including those bidding to buy the club, are unaware if the Glazers are actually open to selling. MEN Sport understands Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani is doubtful regarding the American family's intentions and it is likely Sir Jim Ratcliffe feels the same.

In thelatest takeover headlines, there is some indication of positivity regarding the sale.
According to The Sun, internal discussions among the Glazers have led to them realising the need to sell the club. It is understood figures at United are hopeful the owners will sell up to Sheikh Jassim in a £6bn deal. The Qatari banker has proposed a bid which would see the Glazers leave the club. Sheikh Jassim has reportedly completed his due diligence and an official announcement could be a matter of weeks away.
Manchester United are braced for a backlash from supporters if the Glazer family decide not to sell the club. Although the Raine Group, the merchant bank tasked with overseeing a possible sale of United, indicated a takeover would go through, figures at United have stressed the strategic review highlighted the possibility of 'new investment.'
