Manchester United set to complete incoming and outgoing transfers

Dean Henderson has completed his transfer from Manchester United to Crystal Palace.

Henderson, 26, has joined Palace for £20million plus add-ons, with only an announcement confirming the deal to come.

United are also expected to confirm the €5m (£4.3m) arrival of goalie Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce in due course.

Henderson joined the United academy at the age of 14 in 2011 and he enjoyed progressive loan spells at Stockport County, Grimsby Town, Shrewsbury Town and Sheffield United before making his United debut in September 2020.

Former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to renege on a pledge to install Henderson as United's No.1 effectively signalled the beginning of the end for the England international at Old Trafford, despite David de Gea's departure this summer.

Henderson played 29 times for United, with 26 of the appearances coming in the 2020-21 season when he was briefly their first-choice Premier League 'keeper.

Bayindir, 25, has played for Turkey five times and is set to become the first Turkish player to sign for United.

The transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday and United remain open to reinforcing at left-back and in midfield.

United are scanning the Spanish market for left-backs to offset injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, with Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon, Marc Cucurella of Chelsea and Barcelona's Marcos Alonso under consideration.

Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich has been floated as a possible option to bolster the midfield. Gravenberch, 21, has started six times since he opted to join Bayern over United last summer and the Netherlands international was nurtured by United manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax.
