Manchester United 'send promise' to Sofyan Amrabat and other transfer rumours

Manchester United's executives have reportedly promised Sofyan Amrabat they will make a transfer approach for him before the window closes.

The Fiorentina midfielder has been continuously linked with a move to United throughout this transfer window as the Reds aim to fill the gap left by Fred. Amrabat rose to prominence during last winter's World Cup but his time at current club Fiorentina appears to be coming to an end.

Amrabat was not in the squad for this week's Europa Conference League clash with Rapid Wien which is thought to have upset him and points towards him leaving. According to Quotidiano.net, the 27-year-old is now 'confidently awaiting' United's approach for him so he can leave the Italian side.

United are understood to have not submitted a bid as of yet but the report claims the Reds have promised there will be one before the window slams shut. It is thought the club are looking for a 'discount' close to the deadline and this is what has stopped a bid coming in.

Despite joining Bayern last summer, the Dutchman has been a spare part at the Bavarian club and has made most of his appearances from the bench. Gravenberch is reportedly keen to join a club where first-team football will be guaranteed.
