Manchester United's Marcus Rashford names favourite position after two goals vs Omonia Nicosia

Marcus Rashford has admitted he is 'more natural' playing on the left side of the attack for Manchester United.

Although Rashford lost his starting place at Old Trafford last term, he enjoyed an injury-free pre-season in the summer and he's now excelling under Erik ten Hag, which led to him being named the Premier League's Player of the Month for September.

Rashford has predominantly played down the middle this season, but he played on the left side of the attack after being substituted onto the pitch against Omonia Nicosia on Thursday night and he scored two goals and assisted from that position.

Rashford now has five goals and three assists in eight games in this campaign, but what is his favourite position? Rashford, speaking after the Omonia win in Cyprus, explained that he is more natural on the left side, despite enjoying playing in both roles.

"I think I can play both [left and middle]," Rashford told BT Sport. "The left side is probably more natural for me. I enjoy doing both, I'm just helping the team. I think that's what is important and we have a lot of players in the squad who can play in different positions.

"It's a big positive to have [versatility]. If we have injuries and stuff like that, you never know what's going to happen, you have to be at your best to play in whatever position is needed. The result was massively needed after the weekend. To come here in difficult circumstances, it's a positive result for us, we just need to tidy up the mistakes."
