Three Manchester United players react to Scott McTominay's Omonia Nicosia winner

Scott McTominay has delivered a simple message to his Manchester United teammates after coming off the bench to settle the scores against Omonia Nicosia on Thursday night. McTominay struck deep into additional time to hand United three points in their quest for Europa League progression.

Before his introduction, United struggled to make their mark on Omonia in the final third. However, it also has to be said that goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was a major reason for that - making several fine saves.

Uzoho denied Marcus Rashford and Casemiro smartly in the opening 45 minutes at Old Trafford and saved his best for the restart when pulling off a double save from Antony and Rashford. It was performance which understandably took plenty of attention post-match.

But there were also plaudits reserved for McTominay due to his match-winning cameo. Initially made to settle for a place on the United bench - as Casemiro and Fred started in midfield - the Scotland international was introduced on 81 minutes and still managed to make a telling impact.

His winner means United only need one more point to qualify from Group E with two games to play.

McTominay led post-match reaction on social media as he posted a simple message - containing three love-heart emojis - to his Instagram followers. Meanwhile, teammates such as Rashford, Fred and playmaker Bruno Fernandes have also logged online to share their thoughts on the European victory.

Fred said: "Until the end. Thanks God!"

Fernandes posted: "Resilience and fighting spirit until the end makes one point become three points."

Rashford added: "We had to wait until injury time but, eventually, we got the all-important goal."
