Arthur however - who currently holds a record of 19-1 as a light-heavyweight - was set to fight Cesar Hernan Reynoso, with the event now cancelled following Thursday's announcement.

With a 18,000 strong crowd expected to descend on the capital this weekend, many fans have been left disappointed at the timing of the announcement.

Arthur has also taken to social media, questioning who he should send his bank details to regarding a refund following a no doubt expensive camp build-up. He wrote: "Who am I sending my bank details too cause boyyy affi.''
