Manchester United player ratings vs Copenhagen as Andre Onana and Harry Maguire good
Andre Onana was Manchester United's hero on a night Old Trafford paid tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton.
Fans were left frustrated by the first half which ended 13 seconds early when the referee blew up, prompting some boos from the crowd.
Erik ten Hag made a number of substitutions early in the second half and substitute Christian Eriksen helped create the breakthrough with a lovely cross for Harry Maguire to head in but there was late drama when Scott McTominay conceded a penalty in the final seconds of injury time. But Andre Onana came to the rescue, saving the penalty from Jordan Larsson. Our chief United writer Samuel Luckhurst was in the pressbox to cover the game and here are his player ratings.

Andre Onana
Made a needless save early on and his kicking was often poor. Repelled a drive from Lukas Lerager minutes into the second half. Huge penalty save. 8
Diogo Dalot
Another sloppy performance going forward that was not salvaged by a goal on this occasion. Disciplined in defence. 6
Harry Maguire
Erred in the build-up for Diogo Goncalves's shot that hit the post but recovered for an otherwise steady performance defensively and his headed goal was superbly placed. 8
Raphael Varane
Off the pace on his first start in three weeks in the first half but Copenhagen did not capitalise and Varane settled into the flow of the game come the second half. 6
Sergio Reguilon
Did okay on his return after a month but missed a clear breakaway pass. Came off just after the hour. 6
Sofyan Amrabat
Plodded through the first half and his consistently poor form in the league and Europe continued. Substituted at half-time. 4
Scott McTominay
