Manchester United player ratings vs Galatasaray as Rasmus Hojlund brilliant but Andre Onana poor
Manchester United fell to a 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray at Old Trafford in the Champions League fixture on Tuesday night.
Rasmus Hojlund scored twice but United struggled defensively and former United player Wilfried Zaha netted on his return. United's night went from bad to worse when Casemiro was sent off and conceded a penalty. Mauro Icardi missed the penalty but scored minutes later to atone for his blunder.
The Manchester Evening News' chief United writer Samuel Luckhurst was in the press box at Old Trafford to cover the game and here are his player ratings from the match.

Andre Onana
Beaten by Wilfried Zaha's deflected equaliser and very unconvincing with his hands again when he almost gifted Galatasaray an equaliser. He gifted Galatasaray a penalty and made it easy for Mauro Icardi. 3
Diogo Dalot
Got bullied by Zaha in his Palace days and this was worse as he allowed the ball to bounce twice before deflecting it past Onana. 5
Raphael Varane
Not at his most commanding and the centre halves went missing for Davinson Sanchez's hoik that Zaha smuggled in. His distribution was poor. 5
Victor Lindelof
Made a key interception and block either side of the interval. An improvement on his general form this season. 6
Sofyan Amrabat
United suffered in the absence of a specialist left-back again. As determined as Amrabat was, he did not look a natural and it showed for Galatasaray's second goal. 4
Mason Mount
Worked tirelessly and had two goalscoring opportunities in the first half. Forced a straightforward save from Fernando Muslera in the second. 6
Casemiro
Sprayed a fine pass for Marcus
