Manchester United player ratings vs Sheffield United as Diogo Dalot and Andre Onana good

Manchester United secured a hard-fought win over Sheffield United on a night when club legend Sir Bobby Charlton was poignantly remembered. The players paid an emotional tribute to the United great before the game, with a minute's applause before kick-off and captain Bruno Fernandes laid a wreath on the pitch.

Scott McTominay was on the score sheet again with a first half strike but minutes later he conceded a penalty through a handball. Oli McBurnie scored the penalty to level the game with the teams tied at the break. Diogo Dalot regained the lead for United deep into the second half with a stunning strike from distance.

Our chief United writer Samuel Luckhurst was in the pressbox to cover the game and here are his player ratings from the Premier League fixture.

Victor Lindelof

Surprisingly started at left-back again and did not look too comfortable defending but Sheffield United tired quickly and Lindelof used the ball more prudently. 6

Sofyan Amrabat
