Manchester United name 40-man UEFA Youth League squad including Kobbie Mainoo and Dan Gore
Manchester United have submitted their 40-man squad for the upcoming UEFA Youth League campaign.
United's under-19s side kick off their European campaign against Bayern Munich in Germany on Wednesday, on the afternoon of the first-team's Champions League group stage opener. Travis Binnion's side will also face the youth teams of FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray.
All clubs were required to submit a list of up to 40 players who will be eligible to feature in the competition, which runs in line with the senior Champions League tournament. United have submitted a strong list of young Reds including Kobbie Mainoo, Dan Gore and Omari Forson.

Mainoo's availability for the opening game on Wednesday is unclear, with the 18-year-old yet to feature this season after picking up an ankle injury during the friendly against Real Madrid. Erik ten Hag has informed the teenager of plans to integrate him into the first-team over the coming months.
Summer signings Tyler Fletcher, Jack Fletcher and Harry Amass have also been named in the 40-strong group. The former pair, sons of United technical director and former midfielder Darren Fletcher, moved across from the Manchester City academy for a combined fee of £1.25million.
Amass joined from Watford in the summer, with United paying compensation to the Championship side.
United under-19's first match will take place at the FC Bayern Campus in Munich, with kick-off at 3pm BST. Binnion's side will play their home games - the first of which is against Galatasaray at 2pm on October 3rd - at Leigh Sports Village.
