Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho makes honest admission about Borussia Dortmund form

Jadon Sancho admits he has been 'disappointed' with his start to life back at Borussia Dortmund but was delighted to net his first goal since returning to the club at the weekend.

Sancho was banished from the United first-team squad by Erik ten Hag in the first half of the season, before he returned to Dortmund on a six-month loan in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old has endured a mixed start to life back in the Bundesliga and finally scored his first goal since signing on loan in a 2-1 win against Werder Bremen on Saturday afternoon.

Sancho still wasn't happy with his overall performance in the victory, but he insists he always felt he was going to score in the build-up to the match.

"It felt really good," he told club media about scoring. "It took a while, but I stayed patient. I had a feeling this week that I was going to score. I stayed positive, even if my performance didn't always show it and I've disappointed some people a bit in recent weeks.

"I'm not entirely satisfied with the game in Bremen either; I could've played better and contributed more. But we got the three points; that's the most important thing."

Asked about the pressure after his difficult start to life back in Dortmund and the continued faith shown in him by manager Edin Terzic, he added: "You always have pressure. In my first spell at BVB, I registered a goal involvement in almost every match. So I can understand that the fans expect a lot of me. I do from myself too.
