Manchester United in the 'front row' to sign Denzel Dumfries and other transfer rumours

Manchester United reportedly remain in the 'front row' to sign Inter full-back Denzel Dumfries.

In the past two transfer windows, the Dutchman has been linked with a move to Old Trafford. A swap deal which would see Aaron Wan-Bissaka switch to the San Siro was reported in January but never came to fruition.

However, Tuttosport claims United remain a key factor in the Dumfries conversation. It is claimed the 27-year-old is the only current first-team player on the exit list for Inter as they head towards the summer transfer window.

This is because the right-sided player, who is often utilised in midfield as well as defence, is requesting €5m a year to extend his stay in Italy. Inter consider this to be too much and thus want to sell him this summer before he leaves for free in 2025.

Elsewhere, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly decided on Hannibal Mejbri's future at the club. The Tunisian midfielder joined Sevilla on loan in January but his start in La Liga was difficult as he was dropped from the team after a disastrous debut with their manager Quique Sanchez Flores warning he needed to take some time out to understand what it means to play for the Spanish club.

Hannibal's exile from the Sevilla squad has now ended but he has played less than a full half of football in three appearances. According to Football Insider, Ratcliffe and co. are ready to seek out a permanent transfer for the 21-year-old in the summer.

INEOS reportedly wants a squad clearout at the end of the campaign and Hannibal has been listed as surplus to requirements.
