Manchester United hero says Erik ten Hag has already got his Andre Onana transfer 'answer'

Erik ten Hag has been told that £50million signing Andre Onana 'just isn't the answer' to the club's problems.

This comes from former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke, who doesn't believe Andre Onana is the solution to the goalkeeping issues at Old Trafford. Onana, a Cameroon international, played under Ten Hag at Ajax and joined him at Manchester United after a stint with Inter Milan.

The deal cost United nearly £50m, contributing to a summer spending spree that also included Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund, totaling close to £200m. However, despite this investment, Ten Hag's team have had a tough time on the pitch.

They've managed three consecutive wins, putting them back in the running for the Champions League, but they're still not in the top four as they prepare for Sunday's match against Luton. Onana has made several notable mistakes, including during United's exit from the Champions League group stage.

Yorke, a former Trinidad and Tobago international who won the treble with United in 1999, has shared his worries about the goalkeeper. He told Gambling Zone: "When I look at Onana, I often look at players who have been successful at Man United and they really embrace being at Manchester United when they arrive. The ones who get off to really, really bad starts, you will always have that doubt in your mind from fans and players.
