Manchester United have contract decision to make on Hannibal Mejbri and five other players

Manchester United are currently struggling with a long list of injuries and consequently have a stretched squad.

The circumstances meant Erik ten Hag could only name five defenders in his squad for the trip to Bayern Munich in Wednesday’s Champions League clash. However, when all players are back fit and primed, United have a healthy selection of options.

The midfielder scored his first senior United goal in the 3-1 defeat to Brighton in his first outing of the season. He enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Birmingham last season but the club have decided to keep him in-house for now.
