Manchester United duo set for injury returns as Lisandro Martinez suffers setback

Manchester United return to action in the Premier League when they welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford for the second time this week.

The Reds are in high spirits after securing a comfortable victory over Saturday's opponents on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup third round. Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro and Anthony Martial were all on the scoresheet as Roy Hodgson's side were comfortably knocked out of the competition.

Erik ten Hag will be watching out for complacency this weekend as United look to make it three wins on the spin. The Dutchman has been aided in this quest by the return of two United players but there was disappointing news for Lisandro Martinez.

Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay are available for United in their Premier League rematch with Palace.

Eriksen and McTominay missed the League Cup win over Palace on Tuesday through illness but the duo have recovered.

United will be without defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw and Sergio Reguilon. Martinez is set to be out for around two months with a recurrence of a foot injury while Reguilon is sidelined with an unspecified injury, having played against Burnley whilst unwell.
