Manchester United face a stick-or-twist transfer decision
After winning the Carabao Cup, finishing third in the Premier League and reaching the FA Cup final, Manchester United fans were keen to see how the squad improves over the summer. Erik ten Hag delivered a trophy and achieved Champions League qualification in his maiden season, a brilliant feat considering the turbulence he had to navigate.
Going into the summer transfer window, United had recognised three areas on the field that needed reinforcements - goalkeeper, midfielder and striker. The hierarchy that has been maligned over the years due to poor signings and terrible contracts, has done the job this summer.
After a series of negotiations with Inter Milan, Andre Onana was brought in to be the number one and as a replacement for club legend David de Gea. Mason Mount joined from Premier League rival Chelsea while Rasmus Hojlund will ease the striker crisis.

With three signings, the question is how many more incomings are realistically expected from United this summer? The pre-season is nearly complete, so any new signings will need time to acclimatise with the squad.
United are open to signing Sofyan Amrabat before the end of the transfer window. However, it is unlikely that the club is able to make any more signings without making room in the squad. The Reds' budget coming into the summer this year was believed to be around £100m to £120m. After the completion of Hojlund, the expenditure would be nearly £180m.
