Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot sends message to fans after win against Aston Villa

Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot hopes the recent turnaround in results will help build the connection between players and supporters again.

United endured a miserable first half of the season, but they have improved in 2024 and have gone six games undefeated after beating Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay got on the scorehseet for United to ensure victory away from home and the win closed the gap to Unai Emery's side to just five points. Villa have enjoyed an excellent season but they have suffered a string of poor results in the last month.

"We're now looking ahead and preparing for Luton. All the wins now give us confidence
