Manchester United 'aim to secure Andre Onana deal next week' and more transfer rumours

Andre Onana is closing in on a move to Manchester United with a deal to be sealed next week, according to reports.

Erik ten Hag has identified the Cameroon international as his prime target to replace David De Gea. The 32-year-old was released upon the expiration of his contract last weekend, with a new deal looking increasingly unlikely.

United are said to have submitted two offers to Inter Milan, with the latest worth £43million, and football director John Murtough has been involved in extensive talks with the Italian a side over a deal.

The report adds that terms of a four-year deal have already been agreed, with the option of a further 12 months. United hope to have the 27-year-old available when they fly to the United States, with their first game across the pond against Arsenal on July 22.

Elsewhere, Football Insider reports that Southampton have made contact with United over a potential loan deal for Amad Diallo.

Saints are looking to rebuild this summer following relegation from the Premier League, with new manager Russell Martin a huge fan of Amad. The 20-year-old was one of the Championship's standout players last season as he registered 14 goals and three assists for Sunderland.

Amad will be given a chance to prove himself to Ten Hag through pre-season, including during the US tour, before a decision is made on his future.
