Manchester court LIVE updates as more people accused of being involved in 'protests' disorder due to appear
More people are due to appear in court today (Saturday), accused of being involved in disorder across Greater Manchester. A string of men and boys have been hauled to Manchester Magistrates' Court this week, with more than a dozen admitting their crimes.
Scenes of violent disorder have shocked the region. Disorder broke out at an 'Enough is Enough' protest in Piccadilly Gardens last Saturday (August 3), while missiles were thrown at police outside Bolton town hall on Sunday as demonstrators and counter-protesters clashed.
A protest in Newton Heath also erupted into scenes of violence on July 31, with a man dragged off a bus and rocks and bottles pelted at riot police. Police vowed that all those involved will 'face the full force of the law'.
