Live updates as multiple emergency services attend incident near town pier

Emergency services are attending an incident in a popular tourist hotspot in Wales. Fire crews and police are at the Beaumaris Pier area after reports of an incident on Wednesday afternoon.

North Wales Police are asking people to avoid the area and said: "We are currently dealing with an incident in Beaumaris in the area of the pier. Multiple emergency services are in attendance and a road closure is in place.

"We are asking people to avoid the area and find alternative routes where possible." The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed.
