Manchester Arndale shoppers can discover food waste saving hacks at Too Good To Go pop-up this weekend

With the rising cost of living and soaring inflation, many Brits are trying to find new ways to stretch wages and reduce food waste. This weekend, shoppers can visit Manchester Arndale’s Too Good To Go pop-up, which aims to spread awareness about food waste and promote ways to reduce it.

This Friday and Saturday (September 16 and 17), the team from Too Good To Go will be at the Arndale, where shoppers will be able to speak to food waste experts for tips on reducing food waste in their homes and businesses.

The free-to-download app has been reviewed extensively on Manchester Evening News, with dozens of city centre stores partnered with the app. In the UK, Too Good To Go has teamed up with over 22,000 food businesses including the likes of Greggs, Pret, Starbucks and Costa, alongside thousands more local independent favourites.

You won’t know exactly what’s in your order until you pick it up - it’s all part of the surprise.

The pop up event will highlight statistics around food waste, including the fact that, globally, more than one third of all food produced is wasted.. In the UK alone, 20 million slices of bread go straight into the bin each day, which is almost
