Man Utd icon Louis Saha tears into Chelsea legend after Cristiano Ronaldo gets ‘disrespected’

Former Manchester United star Louis Saha has hit back at ex-Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf for his comments on Cristiano Ronaldo.

Saha, who scored 42 goals during his time at Old Trafford from 2004 to 2008, expressed his displeasure with Leboeuf's remarks about Ronaldo's inclusion in Portugal's Euros squad, made back in March. Despite Ronaldo's illustrious career, which boasts numerous titles and individual accolades, Leboeuf had stated that Ronaldo's presence could be detrimental to Portugal's chances in Germany.

Leboeuf shared his thoughts with BetVictor back in March, saying: "For me, Portugal are actually one of the contenders for this summer's European Championships. I actually think they can win the Euros, but only if Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't play."

He continued, acknowledging Ronaldo's impact on football: "You cannot take away anything that Ronaldo has done for football just because he has gone to retire in the Saudi League. I want to thank him for taking the sport to another level, but there is an end for everyone."

However, Saha took issue with the comments in a conversation with OLGB - accusing Leboeuf of disrespecting the Portuguese legend. He said: "I heard Frank Leboeuf say that Portugal can't win with Cristiano Ronaldo. I think it's disrespectful," reports the Mirror.
