Man Utd could 'offer more money' to £68m target at Old Trafford

Manchester United may be able to tempt Sergej Milinkovic-Savic away from Lazio this summer, according to Italian football journalist Conor Clancy.

Milinkovic-Savic has spent the last seven years in the Italian capital, but he could be ready for a move away in the coming months.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to United and Serie A giants Juventus, but Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri does not seem to think that Milinkovic-Savic will stay in Italy if he leaves Lazio.

These comments appear to open the door for United to make their move to try to sign Milinkovic-Savic, who Lazio value at €80m (£68m).

“United are a bit of a basket case, why would he go there? I’m not so sure. I think Milinkovic-Savic is better than playing for Manchester United at the moment, but money talks as well. United could probably offer him a little bit more money that Juventus could, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go there. He’s more than good enough.”

Not by himself.
