Man United transfer news LIVE - Bruno Fernandes exit, Antoine Semenyo plan, Marc Guehi contract

Hello and welcome to our live Manchester United transfer blog on Wednesday, December 17.

The January transfer window opens in two weeks, and Ruben Amorim is preparing for another huge window at Old Trafford. After spending over £200m in the summer, things have been on the up at United, with Amorim's side currently sitting sixth in the Premier League.

With them just two points behind Chelsea in fourth, United are genuine contenders for a Champions League spot, and plans are expected to be in place to bolster Amorim's squad for the second half of the season.

However, the main talking point today is Bruno Fernandes. The 31-year-old has admitted in a bombshell interview that he could leave United soon, claiming a move to Spain, Italy and Portugal are all possible destinations for his next move.

Speculation surrounding Fernandes' future is rife, with interest from Saudi Arabia expected in January. Elsewhere, United's plans to bring players in this winter are also accelerating, with Bournemouth stars Antoine Semenyo, Alex Scott and Tyler Adams all linked with moves to Old Trafford.

A new midfielder is the priority for Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox, with Elliot Anderson at the top of that list. RC Lens' Mamadou Sangare has also been linked alongside Adan Wharton, Noah Sadiki and Ayyoub Bouaddi.

So, with that said, here's a look at the latest United updates ahead of another busy day of action.
