Man United told Ivan Toney decision as Brentford transfer hint made before deadline day

Ivan Toney will not be involved in Brentford's Premier League clash against Southampton on Saturday amid transfer links with Manchester United and Chelsea.

The forward has been linked with a move to Old Trafford ahead of Friday's transfer deadline at 11pm. Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli had appeared to be his most likely destination, with claims earlier this week suggesting that the 28-year-old has agreed to personal terms.

Frank has also recently admitted to being uncertain over Toney's future at the club with Friday's deadline looming. "Ivan trained the whole week," he said.

"Trained with a good attitude
