Man United star Kobbie Mainoo shows true colours with Alejandro Garnacho and Euros comment

Kobbie Mainoo showed his true character when discussing Alejandro Garnacho's penchant for celebrations and opening up about the crushing Euro 2024 final he experienced with England.

The Manchester United star is currently enjoying his summer holiday after a breakthrough season with his club and country where he scored in United's 2-1 FA Cup final over Manchester City and became a vital part of England's run to the final of the Euros, which they lost 2-1 to Spain.

Due to the Three Lions' long run, the 19-year-old was granted an extended holiday by the Red Devils with the midfielder being spotted enjoying a kickabout in Venice Beach with youngsters.

After engaging in the street football match in sunny Los Angeles, Mainoo sat down with locals who had the opportunity to ask him questions with one youth taking the chance to provide a potential celebration for the England midfielder to use next season.

Kindly declining, the midfielder suggested his team-mate Garnacho would be better suited performing the theatrics. Mainoo is not someone who always wants to be in the spotlight, and simply said: "I'll leave the celebrations to Garnacho, he likes a little celebration".

On a more serious note, Mainoo was asked about how he learns from losing and whether failure is needed in order to succeed. His answer showed maturity beyond his tender years. "If you're not winning, you're learning," he said. "I just came off a big loss in the Euros final but you have to work hard to make sure these opportunities come again and try and take them the next time".
